I offer face-to-face lessons in your home and online via Zoom.

My approach to learning

I endeavour to understand every pupil's personal needs and ability. Whether your child has been struggling with a particular topic area or would benefit from additional support, I can help them to understand the subject at their own pace. I have multiple subscriptions to resource websites, including Twinkl, Nessy, Grammarsaurus, Literacy Shed, Mrs McActivity, Math Mystery Pictures, and more, meaning that I can provide learning material that will interest your child and keep our learning engaging.

FACE-TO-FACE LEARNING

Studies have shown that children learn the best when they are in an environment they feel comfortable, safe and supported in. This is why I travel to your homes to best support your child with their learning. I complete courses to further my development as a teacher and to keep up-to-date with SEND policies. The most recent courses include dyslexia awareness, dyscalculia interventions, ADHD support, early maths strategies, safeguarding, and child protection. I am fully DBS checked and I can provide you with my DBS number to confirm this.

English

I offer support for children in Key Stage 1 and 2 who are struggling with spelling, grammar, punctuation, handwriting and reading. Whether your child is struggling with letter and number reversals, phonics knowledge or spelling, I can offer my suppport to help your child feel more confident with these areas.

Maths

ONLINE LEARNING

I use the online platform Zoom and share a secure link that only you can access. I make learning online fun and meaningful through a variety of engaging activities, such as quizzes, interactive learning games. All of your child's hard work is available to view whenever you wish by accessing your personal Bitpaper link. Optional homework is sent and marked via the Seesaw app.
